We use a DKP loot system where items have a set cost (no bidding). You earn DKP for each raid you attend, and you spend DKP when you loot an item. Here's how it works:

How do you earn points?
DKP is awarded based on the day of the raid. Saturday is worth 8DKP. Monday and Wednesday are worth 4DKP each. Thursday Bonus Raids are worth 2DKP. If you are late to a raid or leave early from a raid, DKP is awarded based on the time you spend raiding. You get 1 DKP for each hour of raiding you make. Bonus DKP may be awarded to the raid in special cases for deserving accomplishments. Members are always encouraged to monitor their own DKP, as the officers are not perfect and do make mistakes. If at some point you believe there is a mistake, contact the DKP officer, but do so before the next raid or we may be unable to correct the mistake.

What if you are cut from the raid?

This is called Standby. People who are not needed for a raid can choose to stay available and online on a guilded character or in Ventrilo and earn DKP for that raid. You will be awarded DKP based on the standard DKP system rules above. Make sure to talk to the DKP officer (typically Vexus/Quabi) if you are cut to be ensured you will receive your DKP. If this is not known, you may or may not get DKP for that night. Also, notify the DKP officer if you become unavailable during the course of the raid.

People on standby have the same rights to loot that drops on raids as members actually on the 24-person roster.

How do you spend points?

The person with the most DKP of the people who want the item wins it and pays the cost in DKP for the item. All standard items cost 18 DKP. In some cases, certain items might be given a lesser value, if they are situational or we have progressed far enough that the items are much less valuable to the raid force. Masters are free. If two people on a raid (including people on standby) can use a master, it goes to the raider with the higher attendance over the last 60 days. Items are distributed in the order they appear in the chest.

DKP Cap
We soft cap DKP at 150. You can earn DKP above the cap, but when you loot an item, your DKP is reset to 150 before the price of the item is charged. For example, if someone had earned 170 DKP and then looted an 18 DKP item, they would have a "DKP CAP" adjustment of -20, and then the item would be charged to them, so they'd end up with 132 DKP.

Attendance Penalty
If your attendance shown on the DKP page is under 50% over 60 days, all loot will cost double DKP for you until your 60 day attendance is back over 50%. If you have not been in the guild for 60 days, your lifetime attendance will be used instead.

Exception: Armor with crit mit that is not contested by any other mains is an exception to this rule and only costs the normal price, regardless of your attendance.

How does it work as a Recruit?
Recruits earn DKP the same way as full members, but can only loot items if no full members want them. Recruits who are tagged <Azure Skies> get priority over alternate characters, but recruits who are not tagged do not. Recruits are not eligible to loot items for their alts.

What about my 19 alternate characters?
Alts can acquire loot for either 9DKP or the price mains pay, whichever is cheaper. An alt is eligible for loot only if no mains want the item. Alt loot is distributed via standard DKP rules, with priority going to the person with higher DKP.

Bidding for multiple pieces of the exact same item
If you have already purchased an item for your main, you can bid on that exact same item again at alt priority and for the alt DKP price, even if you plan to use the item on your main. This is in case you want to have different adornments on the same item for different situations.

What about ties?
If multiple people have the same amount of DKP, first attendance over the last two months will be looked at, and then if that is equivalent, a random roll will be used to decide who gets the item.

Penalty for no-shows
If you miss a raid without informing an officer at least one hour ahead of time (either by posting on our forums or contacting one of us in another way), you may be docked 10 DKP. It is important that we know who can make raids when selecting targets, and failing to let us know that you may be unable to attend hurts the guild.

Leave of Absence
If, for whatever reason, you miss a full month of raids, you lose your DKP priority. You keep your points, but you are unable to take loot ahead of any other full member mains until you earn your priority back. For each full month you are gone, you must wait a (consecutive) week of raids before you earn your priority back (up to a maximum of four weeks). In order for a week to count, you must be available for at least two attendance raids. If you miss a week, the count starts over. If you are above the DKP cap, your DKP is reset to the cap on the day you earn your priority back.

Note: If you are gone for a month or more, the guild has likely moved on without you. You will probably find that you do not have a spot in our raid in the same capacity as you did before, and, especially if you do not discuss your break with an officer beforehand, you may be removed from the guild.

How coin is handled
The first two chests go to the guild bank, and any subsequent chests will be set for auto-split. This is to pay for any repairs or supplies that you need for each raid. Rarely, a raid will be announced as a 'Guild Fund Raid' and the first chest will be split, while all subsequent chests go to the guild bank. On such raids, an additional DKP will be awarded to all members in attendance. The guild funds will be used for the guild hall, potions, and other supplies that are needed on raids.

Can I raid with another guild?
Members of Azure Skies are not permitted to raid current content with another guild. Previous content is fine provided Azure Skies is not still raiding that specific zone.
